Yesterday, Tuesday, the documentary The Price of Sex was shown at Parken in central Gothenburg. Doc Lounge Gothenburg and Amnesty organized the event. RealStars made a presentation of our work and answered questions about trafficking after the film.
The Price of Sex took almost 10 years to film and produce for American-Bulgarian Mimi Chakarova. While traveling through nine countries she gives us a frightening excursion through poverty, broken dreams, corruption and the filthy sex industry.
The film depicts young women who with honesty speaks of how and why there were tricked, forced or deceived into prostitution. It depicts the life-long and horrible consequences human traders and sex buyers from around the world have caused them.
